I have flown the nest (literally and figuratively)!! I am no longer in California, but I have made my way East to the great state of Colorado. Before I arrived here, I made a couple of pit stops along the way which were wonderful. You know what they say, it's not about the destination, but the journey.
Luckily, I had Bowen there with me to start my journey from California to Austin, TX. We left and made a stop in Joshua Tree and then spent the night in Phoenix at Bowen's cousin's house.
I have realized that transitions can sometimes throw things off, but one thing that I have already started learning from this year off would be to go with the flow, and realize that sometimes not having a plan is the best plan because it leaves doors open for funny stories, interesting people, new lessons learned, and an overall better existence.
I have spent the last four years of my life with structure and a plan and now I have a year of this and that and being in a new place and not having a permanent home, all of which I love, but it is allowing me to grow. I am learning how to better deal when things don't go as planned, I am learning how to work with other people and their timeline, I am learning what is important in life, and that hard work pays off.
California has taught me so many new skills, simply from being a "bartender" and hostess. I learned from Kali business skills and how to juggle 10 things at once.
